Brock Lesner Needs Respect…and So Does Brock Lesnar

Brock LesnarYou would think after rising to championship status in the UFC, Brock Lesnar would get respect. Still, there are people who call themselves UFC fans still spelling Lesnar’s name as Brock Lesner. Why does the former pro wrestler not get enough respect? And who is this poor guy Brock Lesner who is probably getting random phone calls because his name is spelled in close proximity to Brock Lesnar?

If the real Brock wins the world title then shouldn't people get it? It's L-E-S-N-A-R. There is no second E in Lesnar. His name never has and never will be Brock Lesner. Perhaps you've come to this story thanks to spelling the name of the UFC star wrong. Now is your chance to make amends and get it right. I can understand that when crowds chant "LESNAR,LESNAR" that it doesn't include the correct spelling. It's about time that everyone knows how to spell the name of the champ.

Lesnar is still the future of the UFC. The guy is a monumental force in a sport that has clearly gone mainstream.

There was a day when a guy like Brock Lesnar couldn't have made the transition to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. That day has come and gone. Brock Lesnar is here to stay-even if you want to spell his name Lesner.

Lesnar signed with the UFC in 2007. After losing to Frank Mir in his opening fight, Mesnar has tortured his other opponents in the UFC. Brock left the UFC thanks to an illness in 2009. He'll be back in the summer of 2010 to face Shane Carwin. Perhaps it will take one more win on his return to finally get people to spell his name right. It's Lesnar…with an “a”.
